John H. Brainard
John Brainard is a Criminal Defense, Personal Injury and RMV Attorney at Altman & Altman, LLP. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Boston College in 2014 and his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law in 2017. Attorney Brainard has been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2018.
Prior to joining Altman & Altman, LLP, Attorney Brainard practiced civil litigation as Of Counsel for another reputable Law firm. John also worked as a Legal Analyst at the Massachusetts State House and as a Judicial Intern to Judge Kevan Cunningham at Taunton District Court. While attending Suffolk University Law School his primary focus was Trial and Appellate Advocacy. Additionally, he worked as an editor and a regularly published contributor on the Journal of High Technology Law.
His focus since joining Altman & Altman has been criminal defense matters as well as cases before the registry of motor vehicles. Attorney Brainard has handled a wide range of criminal cases including but not limited to OUI Liquor & Drugs, Assault & Battery, Larceny, Sex-Related Crimes, Drug Crimes, Disorderly Conduct, and Restraining Order Cases. John also manages personal injury cases such as slip and fall accidents, dog bite cases, and motor vehicle accidents.
When it comes to working with clients, Attorney Brainard's philosophy is that every client deserves to be heard. As such, John prides himself on communication and is always available to listen to client concerns and respond to every question they might have.
When he is not busy working, John enjoys playing the guitar, golfing, and watching Boston Sports as he is a die-hard Patriots and Bruins fan. John has been happily married to his wife Ashley since 2015. They like to spend their time hiking, watching stand-up comedy, and traveling to new places.
